Summary of my New Diet plan

Everybody needs a plan about how they are going to lose the weight, here's mine:

1.) Exercise.

The only exercises I like to do are walking and swimming...sadly thats it. So I'm gonna do what I love to do and nothing else! I recently bought a few items that will make my exercising experience a little easier:

Aren't they awesome =)

Also, I want to incorporate the Easy Curves and a Neck Genie devices into my exercise regimen:

and while I haven't really stuck with the the neck genie, the easy curves really does help slim down your arms...I didn't notice any difference in my breasts though but I hadn't used it for long enough to see results.

2.) Replace Sodas and Juice with just water.

I drink anywhere from 500-1000 calories a day ALONE just from drinking Sodas and Juices...That's crazy! thats about 1-2 lbs a week that I can cut out of my diet completely. I've thought about drinking crystal light which is calorie free but I REFUSE because it has aspartame and I'm not putting that poison in my body!!!!! So I'm just gonna have to tough it out and drink good ol' water.

3.) Eat plenty of metabolism boosting foods

My husband eats whatever he wants and doesn't gain any weight >:( So Unfair. I attribute this to him having a high metabolism. It is a MUST to incorporate as many metabolism boosting foods as I can in my diet in order to help burn the fat rather than store it.  I have heard wonderful things about cayenne pepper, green tea, pomegranates, vitamin B12, etc.. I will keep you all posted on what works.

4.) Diet for Life

You can't just change the way you eat for a temporary amount of time, you'll only end up gaining the weight right back. Therefore my diet goals should be realistic and permanent so if I want to eat some cheesecake or a bacon double cheeseburger---dammit I will every once in a while!

But I have realized that I have gone overboard with my all fried food-soda-pastry and no veggies-fruits-nuts-grains diet, I mean COME ON, there are other alternatives out there!!!

I decided to make the bulk of my diet consist of:

One thing I am concerned about is my Sugar intake.  I am completely addicted to putting sugar in things like coffee, tea, etc...I have to stop this! SUGAR BAN EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!!!!

I would love to become vegetarian again but my husband has got me eating meat again and now I'm super hooked.  He even introduced me to bacon, BACOOON! Who after first being introduced to bacon can give it up! So I'm gonna call my self a pseudotarian, because my diet will be mainly vegetarian with a few meaty cheats here and there

5.) Snacks
This is a very important one for me because I get hungry very quickly.  My favorite snack is pretzels because they are low in fat but I hear almonds and other nuts make great snacks, so I'm gonna have to stock up on things like popcorn, almonds and the like

I'm confident that these 5 things can help in losing the weight, I'm gonna start posting how many calories I consume everyday just to keep a good online record of my progress

February 1st the New-New Year

Ok January 1st didn't quite work out in terms of adhering to my New Year's resolutions but I'm not giving up

The new me starts today Feb 1st 2012

The first thing I had to do was find a Weight Loss Calculator aand figure out exactly how many calories I would need to consume to meet my goal in one year...

With moderate exercise (which I do plan to do by swimming at my gym 5 days a week)

It says I need to consume 2146 calories per day...

I think that makes good sense, it said with absolutely no exercise I could only consume 1448 calories

Thats very very hard to do!

I am thinking just for good measure I will only consume about 2000 calories a day. This would mean that I would lose an extra pound every 23 days which is 15 extra pounds in a year!

We'll see how it works out...

My high protein high sweets, high grease, high carb diet is about to be replaced by a high veggie low sweets low fat diet.  Veggies are so low in calories I don't know why  I'm not eating some right now!!!

I'll let you know how it turns out!
